‘Today’s the day’ as the Women In Meat Industry Awards return
Tonight, the British meat industry will attend a black-tie awards ceremony, hosted at the Hilton London Metropole, to celebrate the wealth of female talent across the industry.
Hosted by Olympic medallist and TV presenter Katharine Merry, the Women In Meat Industry Awards 2021 will make a grand return to its usual format as an in-person event. Every year this unique initiative recognises female talent working in the UK meat industry who are continuously breaking boundaries and challenging stereotypes about perceived male domination within the sector.
The event will kick off with a sparkling drinks reception followed by a dinner and then the ceremony, which will present 10 awards – nine of which have been voted for by Meat Management readership and the wider industry.
Among the prestigious accolades to be presented, the Meat Businesswoman of the Year Award will honour an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their field.
