Tulip appoints Tommy Moelgaard as chief financial officer

Pork producer Tulip Ltd has appointed Tommy Moelgaard as its new chief financial officer. Moelgaard joined the business in February 2018 as part of the core executive team and will oversee all of Tulip’s financial operations across the company’s four businesses. He succeeds interim chief financial officer Helen Glennie.

Tommy Moelgaard is the new chief financial officer at Tulip Ltd.

Tommy has more than 25 years of experience in senior finance roles at transport and logistics company AP Moller-Maersk, most recently as global chief financial officer for its logistic business Damco, where he was a member of the core executive team. Prior to joining Tulip Ltd, he also worked as vice president and head of corporate finance at APM Terminals, within the AP Moller-Maersk Group.

Moelgaard said: “I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter of my career and getting under the skin of the business at Tulip, and the FMCG sector. There is plenty for me to learn as I enter a new industry, and I believe I can bring a different perspective to the organisation from my previous experience. It’s an exciting time to join Tulip, which has made great strides in the past two years returning to its winning ways – and there are further innovations to come in 2018 as we enter the next stage of our development.”

Steve Francis, CEO of Tulip Ltd, added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Tommy on board and are convinced that he will help us drive the business and our financial operations forward. We would like to thank Helen for her valuable contribution to the role in the past 18 months.”

Educated at the London campus of the University of Chicago and Copenhagen Business School, Moelgaard is married to Noi and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, squash, and running.
