Quality Meat Scotland merges its social media

Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) has merged its consumer-facing social media platforms to strengthen The Scotch Kitchen which promotes the Scotch Beef PGI, Scotch Lamb PGI and Specially Selected Pork brands.

The Scotch Kitchen Facebook page.

The Good Family Food and Enjoy Quality Pork social media content will now be found on The Scotch Kitchen, which has more than 45,000 followers on Facebook.

The merger will see an increase in the range of content delivered by Scotch Kitchen, with the aims of reaching more consumers with messages about Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb and Specially Selected Pork along with the health and nutrition messaging of Good Family Food.

The merging of Enjoy Quality Pork and Good Family Food under The Scotch Kitchen umbrella comes after a strategic review of QMS’s consumer-facing digital communications.

Suzie Carlaw, marketing controller at QMS, said: “Social media plays a crucial role in how we position our brands with consumers to drive awareness of what sets them apart and inspire our follows to be champions of the brands.

“For The Scotch Kitchen we have focused the content around four target audiences – Young Professionals, Serious Weekend Chefs, Busy Working Parent and Sunday Roaster. This is an ideal fit for the target audience of both Specially Selected Pork and Good Family Food,” said Miss Carlaw.

As well as recipes and tips on cooking Scotch Beef PGI, Scotch Lamb PGI and Specially Selected Pork, The Scotch Kitchen will also have video content for family meals provided by food bloggers.

Consumers will also have the opportunity to learn more about red meat, nutrition and the levels of quality assurance and traceability that the Scotch brands have.

The newly merged social media platforms are now live and can be accessed on Facebook and Twitter using the handle @ScotchKitchen or Instagram using the handle @thescotchkitchen.
